DANCING DIVA

Nevada and Daddy
our little lamb really concentrating
Nevada and her "winning" flowers
our lamb
our cute little bon bon
our angel

Nevada was just in her very first nutcracker performance, she did so good. We are so proud of her. I loved watching her do the same dances that I did a long time ago! ha ha ha. There were quite a few dances that she had to skip in, and I could not stop laughing, she does it so cute. She will run three or four steps then hop on her left foot, then she will RUN three or four more step then hop on her left foot, and that is how she skips! I love it. This little girl absolutely loves dancing, she always is telling me that "I can't wait to dance like the big girls!" She loves the older girls in her dance company and could watch them all day! At the performance Josh and I got her a little bouquet of flowers and after her last dance I was in the back and she came running off the stage and said "mom where did you get those?" I said " they are for you Nevada!" Then she YELLED " I won flowers cause I did such a good job!" ha ha ha I had to laugh. I love the confidence this little girl has. I know she will be able to accomplish anything she wants in life, she is so determined! I love you little Diva and I can't wait to watch you in more performances!!

Hello blogging world.........

So it has been so long since I have blogged its super sad!!! I don't have any pictures, I just thought I would write a little bit on whats going on in the Rhead household!!! Josh- just is doing really well he just got a new job, that we were SUPER excited about, he applied at Nucor Steel out of Plymouth Utah about a year and a half ago, and they finally got an opening and he got hired on. I am so proud of him, the crew that was hired at the time he was, he was the only guy hired from outside the Nucor company. All of the other workers were transfers from Volcraft out of Utah which is a division of Nucor. So I was so so so excited for him. He works so hard for our family, so I can stay home and be mama. I'm excited that he gets to do something he likes to do and that can actually be a career for him! I love you baby!!
Nevada Jo, she is in preschool and LOVING it. she is doing so well, she has got her name all figured out. (it took a little bit to get the V in her name, but she has it now!) She writes her name on EVERYTHING!!! Nevada loves kids, everywhere she goes she meets new friends, she is so friendly, and plays so good, she has a little friend named Eve in school and Nevada has learned to write Eves name so that too gets written all over everything too! Nevada loves reading, and showing or "teaching" Kash about everything she has learned at school. Nevada is in dance and is so excited about her christmas performance coming up the Nutcracker, she really does love to dance, anytime music comes on as she is watching TV she jumps up to dance to it! you can't let music get waisted.........ha ha. She also is in to the tumbling part of dance, she is doing cartwheels over eveything and everyone, use caution in laying on the floor at our house! :) She reminds me of myself when I was growing up.......barbies, dolls, dancing, makeup and BOYS!!!!!! We are in for it BIG TIME!!! I sure do love my little miss DIVA. She is growing up so fast, I can't hardly believe it, she is all girl, and is such a good big sister, she loves being little miss MAMa to Harlie, she is a really big help! I love her so much!
Kash Man- Man cub- oh my word, where do I begin with this little monster.........He is such a little character, he is sooooo naughty and he knows it!!!! Kash is so into cars and trucks and fast and guns and punching and "go to school when I five...." He hates that little miss Harlie is getting mobile and can get into "my stuff" now I constantly hear "Harweee NO!" Last night for example Kash would NOT stay out of stuff, Josh was constantly getting after him time after time again, after about an hour of this Josh says "Kash your driving me crazy!" Kash starts yelling " i not makin messes, I not makin messes, i not makin messes!" Kash wasn't doing anything........just a guilty consience. Another thing Kash is into is "NEber Again!" If I make him pick up his toys he will look at me and say "i not going no where wit you neber AGAIN!" I just laugh and say "okay you can stay home. " he changes his mind pretty quick, or in the car, I will make him get in his seat and he will yell at me " u not going to gammas neber again!" He is so naughty! But that little smirk he gives me just melts my heart. Kash at the same time is my sweetheart, he has to give my "hugs" every morning as I get him dressed. I love it!
Harlie Rae she is growing so fast she is walking all over hanging on to the furniture and stands, until she realizes she is standing!!! She just turned 10 months old and FINALLY got her first tooth the morning she turned 10 months so she was pretty slow. Harlie loves the bigger kids she will just giggle at them if they even just talk to her. She is such a good baby, but she is learning to throw little tantrums when the kids take things from her. She is very independent, don't try to help her eat she can do it herself....;) She is shaking her head no, and yes, she waves bye bye, she pretends to talk on the phone, says mama and dada and just started saying bye bye. It is so cute. When you try to see her new tooth she will shake her head no at you, she doesn' t like you touching it! She is such a good baby we sure do love her!
I am going to try lots harder to do better at this blogging thing! SO theres what our little family has been up to, check back soon for some pics!!!

Happy Birthday Man Cub!!

handsome boy!!
our chunky monkey

So sad
2 weeks old

Our new family Dad and his Man Cub
So Sweet
Mama about 6 1/2 months pregnant with you!

  • So Kash just had his second birthday, it is so crazy that he is two already it doesn't seem like that long ago I was jumping out of bed yelling at Josh cause my water had broke, and here it is; our little man cub is two!! Kash came into this world weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces and he never looked back he was a big baby, and chunk ed up real fast, he has always been off the charts on his size!! Kash was such a mellow baby, very well natured. Kash is our little sweetheart, and boy does he loves his mama. Kash also loves his papas, poor Kent never gets a resting moment without Kash interrupting him! He loves sports, all kinds of sports, every ball is a "b-ball" though, he loves going to watch daddy play on his coke softball team. Kash is talking like crazy, but he can't say his "r"s so we have some interesting words that come out of his little mouth, like for example not too long ago when he asked for a FORK!!! Josh and I stood there trying to figure out what he had said cause it definitely didn't sound like fork ha ha ha, another one is "dink"(drink). He definitely keeps us on our toes he is one busy little man, he rarely stops. He is famous for sneaking out of his bed, he goes to bed when HE is ready, we will turn out every light so our house is pitch black and pretty soon you can hear Kash running into everything to get to the toy box, then a few minutes later he is again running into everything again and pretty soon you are sleeping with a toy!! He could do this all night long! He is a stinker!! So Happy Birthday MAN CUB we love you so much!! WE LOVE YOU
  • giving kisses to baby constantly
  • wanting to hold Harlie 20 times a day

Harlie Rae Rhead

I know it is about time I do a blog about our little Harlie Rae. Harlie was born on Monday February 1st, she was a little stinker getting here, but we are glad she is here and healthy and that's all that matters!! As most of you know my grandpa passed away on January 28th, and his viewing was on Wednesday the 3rd and the funeral was on Thursday the 4th. I was scheduled to be induced on Monday evening because I was so overdue , so after we got grandpas funeral arrangements, I was telling Josh " maybe we should see if Dr. Jones will induce me in the morning instead of the evening so if anything goes wrong I will still be able to make it to the funeral" Josh was fine with that so we called our nurse and she told Dr. Jones the situation and he said yeah for us to get there as soon as possible. ( this was Monday morning) So I called Josh at work and told him we were suppose to go up to the hospital asap, so he drove home and we got in the car and went on our way, talk about awkward car ride, I was scared, excited, emotional, and about a million other feelings. Earlier that week I asked Josh if he liked the name Harlie and he told me "no". So on this car ride Josh said " I think if its a girl we should name her Harlie!' I was so shocked, I told him "well lets see if its a girl and if she looks like a Harlie and we will go from there!" So we got to the hospital at about 11:30 a.m. and they got me started on the pill that softens your cervix at about 12:30, then I started having contractions on my own, and the babies heart rate wasn't tolerating them at all. Josh and I were a little okay with this cause Nevada had done this also when I was in labor with her. The more contractions I had, the more her little heart rate would drop, so they had me rolling from side to side and all over trying to find a happy spot for her and she wasn't having any of it, so they called my doctor and he came down and they gave me medicine to stop my contractions and to speed up both of our heart rates, that worked and she was happy, then when the medicine wore off I started having contractions again, she tolerated them for about 30 minutes, then her heart rate started dropping again and it was really dropping this time, the belly monitor wasn't picking up her heart rate at all, so again they called Dr. Jones to come down and he watched for a moment and he decided to break my water and put a monitor on her head directly so we would know exactly what her heart rate was, she was still so high they had a hard time getting the monitor on her head it took him 3 times to get it, my Dr. said he was a little nervous with the way her heart was really dropping and he started to wonder if the cord was around her neck tight, or if there was a knot in it, or that it was too short. So he told Josh and I to mentally prepare ourselves for a c-section, but that we were just going to watch it for a little longer. I of course started crying but we knew we wanted our baby here healthy, and we would do whatever it took, so we agreed that if that's what it took then that's what we would do, by this time I am really panicking about making it to the funeral, Josh tried comforting me in telling me that Grandpa knew I would really want to be there and he would understand, I knew this but I really wanted to make it. So now the babies heart rate is doing really good so they start me on the pit to really get things going, and it did, but then again after about 30 minutes the babies heart rate wasn't having it, it kept dropping. so my sweet nurse is holding my belly in one spot so the heart rate would stay up, they again stopped my contractions and we decided now was the time to get the epidural so I could relax a little, so they got my epidural in and it only worked on half of my body so they tried it again and it worked good, so they checked me and I was a 5 so they shut off the lights and I tried to get some sleep, after about 5 minutes I told Josh to go get the nurse, and he said "honey they just checked you and your a 5! " I told him no I think its time go get them, so my nurse comes in and sure enough its time, so they call my doctor and they kept telling me to "just wait" it was so hard to just wait when your body is telling you something else, in the meantime of waiting for the Dr. the babies heart rate does it again but really bad so the nurse says "forget your doctor, just go for it, this baby is scaring me" So right then in walks Dr. Jones just in time to catch our baby. It happened all really fast, I went from a 5 to baby in 19 minutes with about 7 or 8 of them waiting on my Dr., ( its okay cause I really like him!! ha ha) When she was born her cord was short so I couldn't really see what she was, and Josh just kept saying "it is, it is " I was like okay it is WHAT then he finally said " its a GIRL!" I was so excited and oh so emotional cause moments before this, little Harlie was with Grandpa and I know he was giving her advice on how to make it in this tough world!! "I couldn't stop crying I was so happy, and so amazed and sad at the same time, I wanted to ask her how it was, and how grandpa was, I miss him so much. They then took her over to weigh her and she weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 21 inches long, at this time I haven't even got a good look at her and Josh calls his dad to tell him and he says "her name is Harlie Rae " So I always tease Josh cause he named her all by himself and I had no say in it, but its okay cause I look at her now and she just looks like Harlie to me! She is such a good baby, and the kids are so good with her, she sleeps so good, wakes up at about 4:30 in the morning to eat and goes right back to sleep it is so nice. We love her so much and it is amazing, we are so happy with all the love and blessings this little miracle brings into our home!!!

Grandpa

Well on Thursday afternoon I got a phone call from my mom that I have been trying to prepare my self for, for the last couple of months, I knew it was coming but it is so hard to really prepare yourself, you hope it is all just going to go away. My Grandpa Glenn passed away. He was such an inspiring, amazing, tough, mighty, strong, friendly, loving, joking and family man who has touched so many lives and his example throughout his life will forever be in my heart. A couple of months ago we thought grandpa wasn't going to make it so we made a mad dash down to Arizona to say what we thought were our goodbyes. But I know that through the power of the priesthood and many many answered prayers is why we were blessed with these couple more months. I am so blessed for the knowledge that I do have, that I know I will see my Grandpa again and I know that Grandpa is up in heaven giving my baby last minute advice on how to handle this crazy world!
I am going to miss him so much, miss the pizza hut trips, camping trips, card games, jokes, blowing raspberries, big bear hugs, wondering at a restaurant when the "blue card" is going to come out, the loving advice, the way "the little bird" told him things were coming, Thanksgivings, watching slide shows, the famous " BANG", chopping wood trips, head counts everywhere we went, and the way he loved his family and always showed it. He was such a great example to everyone, he knew no stranger, and the love he showed for Grandma was amazing. He has left many with an inspiration to be better, the way he was. I love you Grandps and I " will see you down the road!!"

Snowman building and sleigh riding!!!

DADDY' S TURN

Today daddy got home from work and it wasn't dark yet, so I told Nevada lets go build a snowman, Josh had to go to the farm to cage up some chickens so we decided to go and build him down at the farm. So Nevada and I built a snowman while Daddy, and Grandpa gathered chickens, Kash had no idea what me and Nevada were doing so he fallowed the MEN around!! There wasn't much selection for arms or about anything for our snowman, so we had to be a little creative, we took some rocks out of the chicken pen for our snowman's eyes, nose and mouth. Nevada said " our snowman likes to eat dirt and chicken poop HUH mom?!?!" Then when we got home we sent the kids sleigh riding down the hill in front of the house, Nevada was in 7th heaven and when we put Kash in the sled, he would say " NO, NO, NO, NO " until we pushed them down then he loved it but the anticipation of what was coming he hated!!!!

Pics.....

I can't believe how big they are getting

Me and my ever growing belly!!!
I love him more than anything!!!

Just a few more recent pics, the kids are growing like crazy......

pray for the princesses.........

So as most of you know, Nevada is completely obsessed with the Disney Princesses, she loves all of them, her most favorite though is sleeping beauty. When we talk about the baby coming she says she doesn't want a baby brother cause " I already have one!!!" she wants a sister and her name is Sleeping Beauty, I ask her "what about Bella or Allie?!?!?" "NO MOM, it is sleeping beauty!" So I don' t know what we are going to do about that?! Anyways last night during family prayer, Josh was saying it and Nevada whispered " Dad....." "what Nevada" he answered..... "Don't forget to pray for the princesses dad!" she said! It was so cute it was hard to stay in concentration of what we were doing, and yes of course Josh did pray for the princesses. She is growing up so much. She is so smart, she has quite the little personality!! We love her and it is hard to remember life without our kids we love them both so much!
